Ladies,
**Alert! No Practice On Friday! Bus leaves BNL Pool entrance at 7 AM on Saturday. Bring a snack and a drink!**
Well, we split the workout tonight. Six of you swam today because running has been very problematic for you. The degree to which that is true varied in intensity, but you all share a common trait; if I don't change something with you soon, things will get worse.
This realization brought with it a companion thought... should I race you this weekend? The obvious answer is "no". If you are so hurt you cannot properly run a workout, putting you out on one of the roughest courses we face all year in a meaningless race coming on the eve of State Series is a fool's errand. If we HAD to have you run it, we could - you aren't so hurt yet we couldn't put you through it. Problem is, you wouldn't have much of a chance to run well, and you have a very high chance of coming out of it much worse off than you are now. I won't risk Conference and State Series for that. You may not like it now, but thank me later. Ask Madison how it felt to break her foot the week of Conference last year.
Knowing we are going to run only a few runners this week, I managed to get a white bus for the trip. My initial intent was to give runners a rest completely - meaning, a late morning sleep on Saturday and a complete day of rest. Turns out most of you want to go anyway. That's not possible of course... the bus only holds 15 people, including the driver (me). Only 14 girls may go. This forced me to prioritize according to injury. We also have some girls with prior commitments who cannot attend anyway, so let's start this off by seeing where we are on available girls.

Girls running the meet:
- Baili
- Danielle
- Zoe
- Delaney
- Katlyn
- Kate
- Ani
It goes without saying they get seats. Girls who cannot go because of prior commitments:
- Alannah
- Molly
Girls who won't go because their injuries require they walk around as little as possible:
- Ali
- Payton
This means the following girls may ride the bus, IF they choose (optional), but will not be allowed to race (not optional):
- Carrie
- Sara
- Amber
- Madison
- Cynthaney
- Chelsey
- Joslyn
The bus will leave from the BNL pool Saturday morning at 7 AM. Don't be late! It's a long drive. We also can't stop on the way back - there is no place to stop, and we are on a schedule. The school needs our bus as fast as we get back!
