North Harrison and Junk

Ladies,

Sorry for the late-night post; life is really hectic for me on the home front. That's neither here nor there, we're all busy, but this year seems worse than ever. But enough of that!

We leave tomorrow from the pool entrance. It's a long drive down to Ramsay, and it will be a late night. As usual, it will also be dry, hot, and dusty on the course. Plan accordingly - have something to drink on the way down to the meet, and I would suggest a light snack as well. It will be a long time between lunch and the meet, so you don't want the batteries to run down.

The meet itself will be a bigger one than we've done yet. Usually it's in the neighborhood of 20 teams. Expect to see some conference rivals there, such as Jeffersonville, New Albany, Madison, and maybe Floyd Central. We'll have a pretty good picture of where we stand in the conference if they all show.

The course itself is not a monster, but the heat will make it feel worse than it really is. I would advise a bit of caution on the first mile, then really let it go for the next two. That second mile especially will make or break your race. Work to make it your best split, then hang on for the last mile.

We are going to be running some runners that have been on the injured list - I mean, what choice do we have? I'm hopeful we have you all on the right track and we can start making some positive strides in the right direction. Hang tough tomorrow... Brown County next week!
